#Ejabberd sucks code
or if you find someone with enought free time to code it if you submit the corresponding patch, i guess that it'll be included in cvs asap :) it's not about bad or unstable, i think it's about time to implement would it be bad for ejabberd to implement something non-standard? after, it's only used when requested, this feature but it's important to have it running and tested before voting right? it's a bit disappointing to see really interesting JEPs and then to discover that it will take another five years before it will be used.

doesn't a JEP mature because of results from implementations? I think the author of this JEP is Justin of Psi, I bet he has no Erlang experience I wonder why this thing is still experimental though, it was discussed in 2003 of course it would be an optional module (stanza acking is optional either way, the client has to requset it) because before spending time in experimental JEPs, it should be better to spend time on final jeps :) cause maybe I misunderstand, but doesn't a JEP mature because of results from implementations? why wouldn't ejabberd implement something experimental? are there plans in ejabberd for message ack'ing or other ways to resolve "black hole" situations? oh according to the jabberdk the uptime is quite good I think it's not really social but since the legacy networks start to block you when you make too many connections to them, and also because my internet connection is humble either way, I decided to do it this way no problem, i aws just checking if unstable runs ok (uptime, number of users, etc) :) so that's why you couldn't discover them ehh, badlop: I should've thought of this, my transports are only accessible to local users. on an amusing note, i haven't actually really -used- my own transports yet just fire them up for development Gaim is better for you, you won't have to explain to people that you *really* can't receive their files on MSN/yahoo/icq. can you actually discover them? it returns remote sever not found to me well, i can't browse them, they seem to be ko, right? but even if they crash, I have a program called "monit" which restartst them automatically naw but my client (jwgc) i use on my work machine which is solaris i need to make it stop crashing under solaris first but i bet i could write my own jabber client to handle autoresponses to such things D well, ejabberd's irc gateway does not support nickserv because it does not described in irc rfc you load a program, it reads its configs. i don't know i load the program and it auto connects me to, auto-responds to nickserv, and automatically joins a couple of channels for me back when i used to use ircii, i could simple have some commands on my startup script to auto connect me to the proper location in fact the one irc client can actually respond to nickserv automatically for me lol

in tkabber it's easy to configure autojoin to chatrooms ermine: he's not asking for autojoin, but for connecting to irct without loining a channel connect to, and not actually be in a room? but be logged into the server? is there a way to autoconnect to (in my case). (this is something i wanted for my jabberd2 server for a long time and none of the transports seemed to work worth a flip) am i supposed ot put the # in front of the channel name? like it but it is not easy to compose in foreign language hrm psi is coming up asking "room information" Host: Room: Nickname:
#Ejabberd sucks license
it will be soon released when i'll select the license badlop: i was and is fouced on my bot :) ermine: are you working on anything jabber or erlang related those days? so can someone explain the irc portion of ejabberd to me? like firts off, which "direction" is it? by that i mean, does someone from "outside" connect to this server to talk to people within jabber (via irc), or can i use this functionality to connect form my jabber server to, say, If any of such checks is positive, the message gets dropped.Ĭondition consists of predicate and argument string. All incoming messages are analyzed against each of the condition record. The module reads the condition records upon module start/restart.
